Checking In after A LONG ABSENCE

Hey there! I went to look for something on Live Journal tonight and my account is *poof* gone. I had made this account several years ago. I don't know if I have any friends here or not. If you are connected, I'd love it if you would ring in. I don't know about this platform but I am certainly never going to use Live Journal again.

First Daily Prompt Effort -- Prompt 918 -- Inertia

Fighting Inertia

Staring at the blank page
The story is bubbling inside me
Demanding to be told NOW
But the words won’t come.

So I make the Herculean effort
Reaching down to my toes
And pulling the words
One by one
Inch by torturous inch
Up my legs, then my body, down my arms, to my fingers
Onto the page.

Again. And again. And again.
For an hour
That feels like forever.
Hoping with every fiber of my being
That it will be easier tomorrow.

New Year, New Venue

Hello, all. I am here because one of my goals for 2013 is to write more. I've been doing that over at Live Journal. However, I haven't been able to get on LJ for about a week. So -- I'm here.
